Privacy Policy
Effective June 13, 2026
Docket (“Docket,” “we,” “us”) operates the LSAT-preparation web app at lsat165.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it short and concrete.
What we collect
Account information. When you create an account we store your email address, the display name you provide, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plaintext. We also store your account role, status, and basic timestamps (created, approved, last sign-in).
Your study data. So your progress follows you across devices, the app saves your study data to your account on our server: lesson progress, practice attempts and scores, your Wrong Answer Journal, notes, flashcards, practice-test logs, settings, and any tutor conversations you have inside the app.
Administrator access. Administrators of Docket can view a read-only summary of your study metrics — such as your scores, accuracy, lesson progress, and activity — to support and operate the service. This summary does not expose the text of your notes or journal entries.
Session cookie. When you sign in we set a single secure, HttpOnly cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Technical logs. Our web server records standard request information (such as IP address, timestamp, and the page requested) for security and reliability. We do not use third-party analytics.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, show ads, share your study data with third parties, or run third-party trackers or analytics.
The Counsel AI tutor (optional)
If you choose to use the in-app Counsel tutor, you supply your own Anthropic API key. That key is stored only in your browser and is never sent to our server or included in your synced data. Your tutor messages — together with a summary of your performance and, for in-app questions, the question content — are sent directly from your browser to Anthropic’s API to generate responses. That exchange is governed by Anthropic’s privacy policy and terms. We never transmit official LSAC PrepTest content; for LawHub questions, only your own notes and metadata are used.
Where your data lives
Data is stored on our server, hosted with DigitalOcean in the United States, and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and study data until the account is deleted. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us; an administrator can also delete an account, which removes its synced study data from our database.
Children
Docket is intended for adults preparing for the LSAT and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
